Description

Healthcare organizations spend millions of dollars implementing health information technology (IT) systems, but without alignment to organizational requirements and integration into clinical workflow, these investments fail to deliver the intended benefits. Our team developed a systematic, iterative approach for diagnosing organizational issues related to health IT and developing recommendations for improvement. This podium abstract reports on the development of our approach, the outcomes of its initial application, how it can be applied in other organizations.

Learning Objective: Understanding a new approach to diagnose organizational issues related to health IT and how it can be applied in different organizational contexts.
