Description
An analysis of abdominal roentgenogram reports from the neonatal intensive care unit seeks to examine the language of structured communication between the ordering physician and the reading radiologist. Assessment of the interactions between expert catagorization of indications and principle component analysis categorization of radiological impressions revealed a relationship between the indication for the study and the information provided in the read.
Learning Objective: Learn challenges and some solutions in analyzing two coupled datasets representative of natural language and inter-provider communication.
