Description

Breast reconstruction has many psychosocial benefits, but inadequate preoperative information can lead to negative experiences. This study utilizes the Satisfaction with Information module of the BREAST-Q survey to investigate how breast reconstruction patients’ satisfaction with information from their healthcare team changes over time after their initial reconstruction. Longitudinal analysis was employed to identify patterns in patients’ satisfaction with information.

Learning Objective: From this presentation, the learner should be able to
-Recognize breast reconstruction patients' need for information regarding their reconstruction procedure
-Learn what preoperative characteristics may predict patients' satisfaction with information needs over time
