Description

Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) administration is a challenging process with varying response rates. We present a pilot evaluation of Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) in a Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) format linked to the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Results of this pilot demonstrate feasibility of using an electronic questionnaire in a CAT format to capture baseline quality of life in an outpatient setting. We also provide an estimate of question burden for patients.

Learning Objective: 1. Understand the feasibility of using PROMIS-CAT to capture baseline quality of life in an outpatient clinical setting
2. Understand the utility of using an EHR-linked questionnaire to assist shared decision making in a point-of-care setting.
