Description
The left ventricle is responsible for pumping oxygenated blood out of the heart to all tissues of the body. A Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF) assessment is one of the recommended tests for accessing the health of the heart in general . In this poster, we talk about a prototype information extraction pipeline we built in python, that employs NLP techniques to identify and extract LVEF assessments from SOAP notes on Practice Fusion EHR data.
Learning Objective: Learn how to prototype a rules based information extraction pipeline in Python and Spacy to extract LVEF assessments from ambulatory SOAP notes.
