Description

Clinical data derived from electronic health records may contribute valuable information in understanding the risk factors for opioid misuse and overdose. In this pilot study, we investigate three strategies to ascertain opioid overdose cases from information recorded in structured codes and free text using data collected the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III (MIMIC III) relational database.
