Description

Behavioral sleep problems are prevalent among young children with chronic health conditions such as arthritis. There are numerous barriers to accessing existing face-to-face interventions, suggesting the need for distance-based intervention delivery. We proposed to develop a web-based self-management intervention to provide parents with strategies to improve sleep in their child with arthritis. Participatory design sessions were conducted with parents and healthcare providers to obtain direct stakeholder input during intervention development.

Learning Objective: Learn needs and possible solutions from stakeholders and end-users in the development of a web-based intervention for parents to impve sleep in young children with arthrits.
