Description

Cancer patients face challenges for self-management of treatment-related symptoms at home without specialized real-time support from clinicians. This review increased our understanding of cancer patients’ acceptance and use of currently developed electronic symptom self-reporting systems and indicated the needs for tailoring design and development of such systems to fit patents’ personalized preference for support.

Learning Objective: After participating in this session the learner should be better able to:
1. Understand cancer patients' acceptance and use of home-based electronic symptom self-reporting systems; and
2. Identify facilitators and barriers to cancer patients' acceptance and use of home-based electronic symptom self-reporting systems.
