Description

A lapse prediction model in Addiction-Comprehensive Health Enhancement Support System (A-CHESS), a smartphone app for relapse prevention after alcohol detox, can be improved. The online peer-to-peer messages filled with emotional support contents may influence the lapse risk of patients who read them. The emotional support content reading scores, derived from the message coding data merged with system log files, can improve the current lapse prediction model in A-CHESS.

Learning Objective: The participants will learn about the effects of alcohol addiction patient's online peer support message reading activity on the likelihood of their initial lapse after leaving their alcohol treatment program.
