Description
This study is going to understand the challenges and opportunities of data quality
improvement in healthcare organizations by qualitative methods. Twelve
semi-structured interviews were conducted with interviewees selected from one health
organization in US. Contextual data was analyzed by Framework methods. Main
challenges are lack of communication, legacy system, and lack of documentation about
data. The opportunities are developing data dictionary and implementing accessible
system for smoother communication.
Learning Objective: 1. To investigate challenges and opportunities of collaborative data quality
improvement in healthcare organizations.
2. To understand disclosure and degree of problem of data quality, and current
solutions towards data quality improvement in healthcare organizations.
