Abstract Body: This late breaking interactive session will provide an update on AMIA’s efforts to establish health informatics certification. It will address how certification fits into AMIA’s strategy to strengthen the health informatics profession, how the 2018 health informatics practice analysis relates to launching a new certification program, key components of the planned certification program, and recent activities that are critical for the successful launch of the health informatics certification program.
