The Doctor of Health Science Program (D.H.Sc.) at Nova Southeastern University is a post-professional, distance-based academic doctoral program designed for clinical health professionals, public health practitioners, and senior medical administrators. The D.H. Sc program has developed a concentration in telehealth which launched in 2018.  This program trains health professionals in the practice, coordination, and delivery of telehealth though initiatives, programs, and services. The program emphasizes the utilization and management of health information systems and technologies in the delivery of patient care. Students immerse themselves in courses that solidify foundational skills in telehealth, they gain a solid understanding of the technology that supports telehealth, and they gain decision making sills related to the governing and coordinating telehealth initiatives. Students have the opportunity to gain real life experiences and apply skills through the program’s internship and practicum requirements. Telehealth has grown exponentially in the past decade and the healthcare industry is undergoing a transformation through this new era of telehealth. The curriculum taught in the Nova Southeastern University’s D.H.Sc Telehealth Concentration is rigorous, enlightening, and designed with working professionals in mind who want to obtain marketable skills in managing telehealth delivery.
