Description

The Biomedical Informatics program at University of California aims at providing innovative approaches to accessing data and computational resources, as well as to bringing real impact on patient care and population health. We pursue these goals through cutting edge research and training the new generation of biomedical informatics scientists. We integrate bio-, clinical-, and public health informatics into high impact projects. Many of our trainees have become faculty, and others have accepted leadership positions in industry. In this presentation, we will highlight the various research projects of our programs, with emphasis on the NLM training program in biomedical informatics, the ACGME-accredited clinical informatics fellowship, and our short-term programs. We will conclude our presentation by describing the training, research and faculty opportunities in our program.
