Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is an international leader and innovator in biomedical and health informatics education and research. This presentation will discuss the full spectrum of learning opportunities available through OHSU, which include the following: Biomedical Informatics Graduate Program – offering Graduate Certificate, Master’s, and PhD in two majors: Health & Clinical Informatics (HCIN) and Bioinformatics & Computational Biomedicine (BCB). The HCIN program through the Master’s degree is available online; National Library of Medicine Fellowship for PhD and Postdoctoral trainees; Clinical Informatics Fellowship for physicians in training for the clinical informatics subspecialty; The original and largest AMIA 10x10 program offering, Introduction to Biomedical & Health Informatics; Annual Update in Clinical Informatics – a continuing education course for all informatics professionals, with CME and MOC-II credit for physicians. All pertinent OHSU educational programs are accredited by Commission on the Accreditation of Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The presentation will also describe OHSU curriculum development work delivering informatics and data science curricula to medical students as well as biomedical PhD students and postdocs.
