Description

Duke University’s Master of Management in Clinical Informatics (MMCi) program, now in its 10th year, continues to evolve to meet the professional needs of clinicians, technologists, and business professionals.  The unique curriculum prepares graduates with a business framework for thinking about how data and technology can be applied in health care.  Beginning with the cohort entering in August of 2020, the program will offer classes with a blend of independent work, live remote participation, and live on-site interaction. This format is designed to accommodate working professionals, providing flexibility in learning activities while maintaining the face to face interactions between student to student and student to faculty that have been a hallmark of the MMCi program.  This session will describe how the promise of technology is being used to address the challenges of cost and quality in health care education and the unique educational program offered as an MMCi degree.
