Description

Pollution's impact on asthma severity has been well researched, but a lack of access to clinical data integrated with environmental factors has restricted researchers' ability to understand the environmental impacts on disease. The Integrated Clinical Environmental Exposures Service (ICEES) shares aggregate clinical data integrated with environmental factors. Utilizing data extracted from ICEES, this study investigates how race, income, and age impact health outcome in relation to pollution. End results showed a clear age-dependent trend for race disparity in the effect of pollution on asthma severity.
