Description

Complex issues remain when discovering and reusing HIV data across common data element harmonization efforts in clinical trials. We evaluate an interaction network approach to discovering very similar data descriptions from 15 HIV clinical trials that use various data standards. Network biology methods like the interaction network described here can inform common data element discovery across data harmonization efforts.

Learning Objective: After participating in this session, the learner should be able to consider and evaluate network biology methods when matching variables across studies for data-reuse research.
