Project Director, eCQMs at The Joint Commission
Lisa Anderson, MSN, RN-BC, Project Director, eClinical, The Joint Commission. In this role, I am responsible for the activities of The Joint Commission’s electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) development team including the supervision of clinical informatics staff responsible for eCQM development, testing, and maintenance; and collaboration with external colleagues including government employees and contractors to deliver annual updates to eCQM specifications. I also collaborate with peers in the development of emerging standards for quality measurement by representing The Joint Commission on the HL7 Clinical Quality Information Work Group, and representing The Joint Commission at LOINC Committee meetings, in which I serve as the co-chair for the Nursing Subcommittee. I am a skilled applied clinical informaticist, with extensive experience in analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of inpatient and outpatient clinical documentation tools. I am a Certified Yellow Belt. With this designation, I support The Joint Commission's activities associated with establishing and sustaining a Robust Process Improvement (RPI) culture. As a Certified Yellow Belt, I am trained in the foundational concepts and tools of problem solving and make improvements to better meet customer expectations and organization objectives. I received my Masters of Science in Nursing in Health Systems Management from Loyola University.
