Chairman and Co-founder ,(IMO) Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc
Frank Naeymi-Rad is the Chairman of the Board and co-founder of Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc. where he leads a team of informaticists and clinicians as they deliver industry-leading medical terminology services for electronic medical records (EMR) systems to over 3,900 hospitals and 450,000 clinicians daily. He was also co-founder of Intelligent Medical Systems, Inc., which was sold to Glaxo in 1994. His entrepreneurial spirit has led to a new vision of medical informatics embodied by codified semantics and natural language processing to eliminate isolated repositories of information and enable both patients and practitioners to make better use of health information. His thought leadership in clinical informatics led to nomination for the Oracle Corporation Smithsonian Award in the category of Medicine. Dr. Naeymi-Rad is a member of numerous professional organizations, as well as author and co-author of numerous peer reviewed publications in the field of Medical Informatics. His degrees are from Southern Illinois University and the Illinois Institute of Technology, the latter a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His thesis focused on the development of medical dictionaries that support data base translation, information retrieval, intelligent medical records, and expert systems. He sees health technology as the ultimate democratizing force of society, with the potential to raise the lowest common denominators by reducing costs and connecting people around the world. He is committed to connecting academic centers with the private sector to create an ecosystem of innovation in medical and biomedical informatics that becomes a conduit for early adoption and integration into practice. My expertise’s are in Problem oriented Electronic medical record, Medical terminology to support Data Base Translation, Information Retrieval, Intelligent Medical Records, and Expert Systems.
