Description

Patients receiving chemotherapy frequently develop symptoms that, if not managed effectively, require treatment in emergency or inpatient settings. Previous studies have demonstrated that continuous monitoring of patients’ symptoms can improve outcomes including overall survival. We set about to implement an operational infrastructure to capture patient symptoms on a daily cadence and support the workflows of the dedicated team assigned to monitor and manage these symptoms. This poster describes the architecture for the system we developed.

Learning Objective: Understand the architecture for a platform to remotely monitor and manage symptoms in cancer patients.
