Description
The goal of our research is to develop and pilot an optimized atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk calculator that implements a comprehensive method of communication for cardiovascular risk. A mixed methods workflow analysis of clinical stakeholders allowed the research team to identify desired functionality and technical challenges.The technical team continues to explore the use of SMART, SMART on FHIR, and CDS Hooks as well as native EHR integration methods to increase functionality.
Learning Objective: After participating in this session, the learner should better be able to understand the benefits of workflow analysis in the creation and optimization of novel clinical decision support tools.
