Description
This poster serves as an educational illustrative to the process of geocoding the clinical population of University of North Carolina Health Care system using an offline, HIPAA compliant process, and linking patients with census level data for the supplementation of clinical data and advancement of socio-economic research. This is the creation of a service offered by NC Translational and Clinical Science Institute to enhance the health informatics pipeline. Propagating researchers with informatics diversity and synergy.
Learning Objective: Learn the process and quality of offline geocoding of clinical populations and linkage to census demographic data for use in recuitment research and retrospective data analysis.
