Description

To provide effective PHIM technology for older adults, it is crucial to comprehensively investigate their practices, needs, and challenges. As PHIM literature remains fragmented, we consolidate and systematize empirical evidence on this topic. We execute a systematic literature review on PHIM by older adults (n = 15, at present stage) from 2008 to 2018, and perform a qualitative analysis by adopting Patient Work Framework. Preliminary findings indicate the complex nature of PHIM by this population.

Learning Objective: Consolidate and systematize extant empirical evidence on the PHIM practices, needs, and challenges of older adults, in order to obtain full view and full understanding of PHIM by this subpopulation, which would support ensuring effective PHIM and PHIM technology design.
