Opioid addiction/abuse has been one of the leading causes of death among Americans for more than a decade. This study aimed to reveal the collaborative research effort to the opioid crisis by systematically retrieving, screening, and analyzing research publications from PubMed. Bibliometric methods were applied to disclose significant authors, organizations, and research topics.
