The Regenstrief Institute is a local, national and global leader in biomedical informatics, health services, aging and implementation science research that is dedicated to a world where better information empowers people to end disease and realize true health. Founded in 1969, Regenstrief is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Within the institute, the Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBMI) focuses on developing and applying health information technology solutions to generate knowledge about health, disease and treatment; help clinicians make optimal decisions; empower patients; and inform healthcare policy. To do so, the research scientists at CBMI work on clinical applications, computer-based decision support, data mining, advanced analytics, healthcare information standards and global health.
